Great job Wilson. It sounds great no smoke. Yes they get a little sticky when they sit for awhile

I like Kwik Trip. I'm from Western New York --not city -- lots of dairy farms. My brother lives in Lake City MN and I visit him twice a year. I always drive so I pass by your area. My sister in law, a Wisconsin dairy farm girl was pleasantly surprised when she first visited NY and discovered it looked like her home near Ettrick WI. Lots of pretty country in Wisconsin.

Keith and I have been through western NY a few times in the past couple of years. Stopped at a Tractor Supply store outside of Westfield and then went in town to get fuel. Interesting to find Welch's Foods there! It is a beautiful drive across the northern tier of the NY Thruway. The southern tier is nice too. My family is in NH, so NY is usually part of the trip.

Congratulations! I almost bought a 300 for my first tractor too. My boss wanted $1,500 for it, and yours is in much nicer shape. That was almost 30 years ago, so I'd say you got a good deal.

Should be a nice addition to the farm. I have a 400 and 450 that i use often. They are handy.

Yes, the H is needing some work, so this is a good replacement to have on hand.

Nice looking 300! Im looking forward to seeing more about Wilson putting it into first class condition.

The longterm project is to get the PTO working again. They did some finagling to try to fix it but are concerned about using it with their fix. Keith figures something else might get damaged in the process, so it will involve splitting the tractor at some point.

Looks like a great find. Reminds me of when l was around Wilson's age. A farmall 400 from a local farm came up for sale. The original rear wheels had been replaced with nearly bald 28Lx26 skidder tires. I thought it was pretty awesome. The price was $1800, l didn't have enough to cover it and my dad wouldn't loan me the rest. He had more practical views on life than l did at the time. Congrats to Wilson on the 300 👍

Thank you! So have you become more practical in your views now? ;)

Looks like a great buy! One of my great grandpas first tractors was a 350, he wishes he would've kept it now. I'm hoping I can find a 350 sometime, I love the looks of the 300/350.

When Keith was riding it yesterday raking hay, I thought it looked smaller than the H, until he explained to me that it's because you sit higher on the 300. Apparently the 300 is bigger than the H. You can tell I didn't grow up around tractors .. ha! Laura

That's awesome, do ya guys put some chainsaw gas in too? A Collector told me once he puts a little of that in because modern gas has something missing that gasoline used to have.
