The fact House can be so simultaneously compassionate and monstrous is wild. He obviously recognized something was wrong and that Wilson was compromised, and acted on it to help Wilson (while getting a good laugh out of it too). He basically held the impossible emergency cable that Wilson would have needed had it been real. House saved Wilson from making an irrevocable mistake while also showing just how seriously he cares about the life of children. Wilson is insanely intelligent and rational and, when he can't be, House is there to catch him every time. This has been one of those times, even well before Wilson realized he fell over.

@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 He was a teen in school when it happened, and his family moved. He and the girl didn't stay in touch. Years later, he got a call from the significant other of his son. She was the one that thought they should make contact, as she was pregnant. I have no idea what happened after that.

I feel like people aren’t agreeing with my viewpoint. I see this as one of the best things from a moral standpoint House ever did. In the episode, he is using his gift to free Wilson of any regrets that he may have before dealing with his diagnosis. House isn’t an evil character, he’s just very very ambiguous, selfish, arrogant, and jerkish.

People are calling this cruel by house, in a way yes but at the same time it showed Wilson that regretting not having kids was something he'd regret because he knew Wilson couldn't handle it and proved it and at the same time made Wilson happier for it

I see a lot of people appreciating the "Australian accent" joke (and it is very funny), but there's a second, equally funny level to it that House seems to be implying that accents are genetic.

Regardless whether it was mean/awful of not, it most certainly did teach him a valuable lesson about being a father, & having to trust House on what he has to say about a supposed son he had which he never really did.

This was awful, honestly the most cruel thing he ever did. Wilson was such a sweet person. An enabler but because he was such a good person. It was a gut punch when I realized he was probably gonna die.
@Bollibompa Жыл бұрын
Who was cruel, for what?
@yevgeniyaleshchenko84911 ай бұрын
Wilson was not an enbaler as he constantly disagreed with House. in reality that kind of prank would be risky and possible cruel - but in the show it was implied House knew Wilson too well and already knew the outcome. His illness/death was not a factor at this point yet so it's irrelevant.
@DeadSezSo11 ай бұрын
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 Wilson is a textbook enabler, that's his whole shtick. The fact that you don't think he was an enabler makes me question if you actually understand what makes somebody as enabler.
