G'day, everybody. In this video, I go through the signal path setup and watch controller settings and also my sonic impressions of the presentation now.

Over the top explanation of the subwoofer integration. Thanks!

Awesome breakdown. Thanks for sharing what’s happening in the room. As you said, YT destroys the sound.

@VinylLatte Thanks Louis. Yes, it is unfortunate, but it's true even recording in the room with my best equipment it only makes a marginal improvement in what you're hearing at the other end.🎧👍🙂

Another great video Shane, a wealth of information if people want to take notice. It would be good if once you get the isolators under the sub you play the organ and sax cut again, it was quite stunning and should be good to evaluate the change. Anyone who hasn't been following you of late has been missing out on some really good content, funny thing is i don't even need to listen on my audiophile system the changes can be so very very obvious even on my phone

@staceymangham Hi Stacey, that's really good to know the changes are so obvious they're easy to pick up through KZbin. As always, thanks for your comments.🙏👍🎧

Hi Shane! I could go on for hours about the benefits of going nearfield (within 4 feet) with a subwoofer. Great explanation mate. If you are very in FL, look me up.

@@stevedeharde2712 Hi Steve, absolutely mate. I plan on coming to the States next year. I want to do a few things with Mikey, and we will have to set something up with some of the tribe, which I am a proud member of.

I run 2 x Martin Logan 210 balanced force subs with some Focal Scala's. I am a big advocate of adding well integrated subs into a system. You can play music at 60 to 70 db and have full, deep visceral bottom end that is physically moving without being overwhelming. The room pressurisation is amazing. With an amplification on the subs being between 0 to 11, they are set between 3.5 and 4.5 out of 11, so they are not working hard at all. Having the two subs can help even out the botton end throughout a room. One added advantage of the balanced force subs is the DSP room correction software. A Wilson watchdog is a very special sub, though.

@justincollins6077 Hi Justin, I agree with all of the above, mate. There really is something special that happens with the presentation when the integration is done well.👌🙂🎧👍

Nailed what happens when a sub is a ‘subby’, i run two REL G1’s on Auva 100s either side the main step up thru a Sublime Acoustic XO 24db slope, it’s been a journey of discovery but so totally worth the grief and expense

@Beaunarr I am considering starting a consultancy service to help people. I've got 37 years of experience doing this in different forms. So I think I've got something to offer people to help them through what can be a bit of a mine field.

@shanestephenson8423 in a room that size near-field with sub is the only way to go. You have to do a lot of work to make that room disappear, but you have shown, it can be done. Subs without infinite phase control are almost impossible to integrate properly. Your gear is killer!

Million bucks system, room totally unfit for the equipment. If you spend so much on equipment, why not firstly spend the money on a dedicated room that's built from the ground up for your use?
@shanestephenson84235 ай бұрын
@kimbye1 Hi there, I guess unless you've sat in my chair and listened to my system in this room, you're not really going to be able to make any kind of valid comment I have to say. Room size, when set up correctly, has very little to do with the sort of equipment you decide to put in it. People who have sat in my chair just about always say the walls disappear. You don't need to have a dedicated room with my equipment to get the best out of it if you set the equipment and the room up correctly.
