it just makes so much sense. NBA players are dripping with sweat and the ball doesn't absorb all that moisture. I am definitely getting an a2000 or a2k next, maybe tomorrow. it's just which one.. definitely infield cause currently don't have anything smaller than 12.5. maybe a dp15 cause I have small hands

I'm curious of the costs involved in making a superskin glove vs an all leather glove. I'd like to know if superskin or super snakeskin are more/less expensive than A2000 and A2K leather. If they are more expensive, then customers are getting a fair deal when they buy a superskin & leather glove. If they are cheaper than leather (as I suspect they are, at least for A2K's) then customers are getting ripped off when they buy a superskin & leather glove.

Well, it would make sense that the surface area on the back of the fingers (regardless of material) would wear much less than just about any other part of the glove, especially the palm/pocket. Always been hesitant to try any gloves with mesh or Superskin, but glove weight hasn't bothered me either.

Thanks for the comment! I feel a similar way. The weight of a glove with a regular leather backing does not bother me. I enjoy the look and feel of a glove with a regular leather backing as well and will always consider a glove like that first. However, if someone is having trouble with weight or wants to speed up a break-in time; the SuperSkin is definitely something to think about. However, SuperSkin is definitely not a requirement for anyone to get!

Hey I need help so I got a super skin a2000 firstbase mit and I need it in a week and idk how to break it in I’ve seen so many videos and idk what to listen too

Thank you for the question. You'll be glad to know that the SuperSkin should make this A2000 a little easier to break in when compared to regular A2000s that do not have SuperSkin. The biggest thing you'll need to do to get it broken in within a week is to get it outside for catch and practice for multiple hours each day. This will probably be the only way to break it in within a week. However, to help you along in the process, be sure and get the smallest amount of conditioner needed and cover all the regular leather portions of the glove (this does NOT include the SuperSkin portions). Lastly, if you are sitting around in the evening, grab a ball and work the pocket by continuously throwing that ball into the pocket of the glove with a decent amount of force.

i have a white superskin glove. what is the best way to clean it and how often should i?

Thank you for the question! To clean SuperSkin, we would recommend getting a damp rag and lightly brushing off any excess dirt & debris. This method won't get everything but it should be able to clean the SuperSkin a little bit. We would recommend avoiding leather cleaners & leather conditioners on SuperSkin. Since SuperSkin is a synthetic material (and not true leather), the leather cleaners and leather conditioners will most likely do more harm to it than good.

Hey I'm getting a custom a2000 and I'm outfield, for outfield I like stiff fingers on my glove, is the super skin stiff? or will it be more flexible, I don't like flexible fingers for my outfield gloves

i ended up with a gray 1786 with black ss and red welting. it's really light and durable. all the marketing stuff is true. I also got a 12.75 rawlings hyper shell the other day and wow that thing is also light. but durability wise, like in the next 5 years which will still be standing, i think ss gets the edge. wilson seems to be the innovator and rawlings kind of lags behind, coming up with their own version later on. but it's 11-1 rawlings vs wilson currently for me. i'm not a huge fan of a lot of wilson's color schemes. I'd probably own more but looks wise, they just don't do it for me. I'd love to have an a2k but honestly i can't find one that grabs my eye. 4 of my rawlings are 1b, why doesn't wilson make anything bigger than a 12.5? i never understood

JustBallGloves lol I forgot this is justballgloves. thought it was a wilson site for a sec and thought why is he trying to help me find a rawlings? lol. thanks for the reply though. I think I found what I'm looking for...it's similar to a tt2/ak2. I remember having a cross/T/plus web, whatever you want to call it as a kid. speaking of, why was the tt2 discontinued? I have 7 12.75 gloves, time to diversify. but I don't want a tiny 11.25 glove, ideally I'd love a 12 or even 11.75.

Hi, Michael, thank you for reaching out. Typically, Superskin will be easier to break in than traditional leather. However, if you want to use oil to assist with the break-in process, I would recommend only applying the oil to the inside portion of the glove. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

What is the deference between super skin and super snake skin

Thanks for the question! SuperSkin & Super SnakeSkin will provide the same benefits. (1) Make the glove lightweight (2) Make the glove's backing stronger than the backing of a glove with regular leather (3) Repel moisture better than regular leather. (4) SuperSkin and Super SnakeSkin gloves are usually easier to break in. The only difference will be the cosmetic look of the two materials. SuperSkin looks like basketball material while the Super SnakeSkin looks more like the scales of a reptile. Let us know if you need more explanation!
