Tractor Logging Farmi 501 Winch Salvaging Bug Killed Douglas Fir for Woodmizer LT15 Sawmill

Using a Massey Ferguson MF 30 MF 34 tractor with a Farmi 501 logging winch to salvage dead and dying bug killed Douglas fir. The extreme drought we are having on the West Coast is stressing these for trees and the bugs are attacking and killing them.
This video shows timber falling, using wedges and a long cable from the winch to yard the logs up the hill. They are loaded into a dump trailer to be hauled down to the sawmill to be cut into lumber.

Like your stubby forks. I use 42 inch pallet forks and they can get in the way in the woods.

Why doesn't it concern you that the bigger, deader tree might eventually fall on one of those trees you didn't want to hit while felling the smaller, only mostly dead fir?
