Just to give you guys an update on prep, the swing felt a lot better this day. I thought on the day that I was still having trouble with getting inside and stuck but it turns out it was mostly down to alignment. It's coming!

James. Get all you clubs re-done with golf pride align grips. They are awesome and can help you feel where the club face is. I’ve done mine and can draw n fade them on demand as I can feel where the face is. Best purchase I made last year !!!!

Try tweaking your lies, your tossing pw-8 left misses, could be a pinch to flat. Noticed some 4irons left right, too upright or too stiff a tip. Dont forget gear checks, especially if you plan on competing, tour guys getting week to week checks, course to course adjustments. Dont be joe schmo out playing on last yrs adjustments. Stay on top ya specs.

Best putting I've seen from you. Even the misses were closer.

23:20 beauty of a swing there, way less "fore left" in that one.😄 That putt at 26:39 and 2-iron at 32:15 were equally as pretty too, good stuff!

Great course vlog, your mate seemed to know where every flag was to say he hadn’t played yesterday but I suspect it’s me being too cynical. Your putting apart from a couple seems to be progressing nicely. I bet this course is really difficult in the summer with all the clumps of heather around. Well played.

Thanks, putting felt way better! Yeah it would be a different beast in the summer for sure

Question for James (or anyone else who knows). What was the difference between the swing at 30:22 (which was hooked left OB) and your re-tee at 31:04, which was striped down the middle?
@GolfJamesWiltshire5 жыл бұрын
Yeah and the answer will be in tomorrows vlog. I filmed my lesson today which explains all so that should be helpful if you're also struggling with that shot
@bigsweebie5 жыл бұрын
James....putting really well. That adjustment looking pretty good! SST putter? If so, I'm playing the same one, feels really good. I noticed your tendency of those dead handed types of shots just missing a little left, like the gap wedge in on 3 or 4?, and the 8 iron into 6? Struggle with that a little myself. I try to remind myself to aim a little more right and just play for it until I have the time to sort it out. Showing massive improvements already, I think. Keep it up, brah! Cheers from Kansas!

Do you play those compacted bunkers like you would any normal bunker shot? I always struggle when they’re like that but do consider myself a pretty good bunker player. Do you think something with a lot less bounce would help?

On the hole you hit driver out of bounds and hit the provisional and was 258 out I do believe that was one of the best 2 irons I've ever seen and then a putt if the green had been rolling smooth would have been heart. So that was a tough hole for you to have him win

Nothing new to add. Common theme, we all think you are playing and putting better. Definitely wedge game striding on. Stick with that. Coped with the conditions well I thought overall. Just a little of more confidence around the green, so you do not automatically go to putter. Just keep on working, more of the same, it will keep paying off.
