Thanks Everyone for watching:)
I didn't go hungry on this one!
Thanks to Shane for the lovely food and beers shared:)
A simple Bivi Camp in the local permission woodland,
I used the RAB Ridge raider Bivi which I really like, I've had a couple of great nights in it now but not tested it yet in heavy rain, I'm sure the opportunity will occur sooner or later:)
I rode to and from camp on my Planet X Tempest bicycle which has a titanium frame, I am very pleased with this bicycle, it is light, nimble and sturdy.
Despite the high praise given to the bike, it still suffered a puncture on the way home. I always carry basic tools and a spare inner tube so it was just a 20 minute job to get things sorted and back on the road.
I've not looked into going tubeless at the moment but may investigate this later on. For the time being I will stay with the tubed option.

You have the light camping kit all figured out Sandy. I keep trying to get my brother and his family to do a little light weight camping. I have not been successful in that yet. Maybe when I go back to Wisconsin in July we can give it a try. I like the look of a hammock setup for me. I have several and need to sleep in them a bit before calling it a setup. Weather is going a little crazy here again and keeps plans changing. Keep up the great outdoors videos Sandy I will stay tuned in.

Hi Sandy, Subscription ok mate, been keeping an eye on it since you last mentioned it bud. As for comments on religions and belief's, I'm not one to conform to all of this and that. But I feel I'm a spiritual person, I think you should allow all to find their own path without persecution or interference. Also very much like you I believe in the total respect for the natural world and all that dwells within. Good video Sandy, Big thumbs up mate. Regards Moose

Nice video Sandy. I take your view of the Nature religion/philosophy. A couple of hundred years ago it was termed as Romanticism but with all the ongoing discoveries of the life sciences, it encompasses so many aspects in life. Very neat bivvy but perhaps the easy answer for your rucksack mining is a long piece of string. Not getting political but I shall reserve my vote for the party that promotes the return of brown paper, string and sealing wax! Great Britain will never regain it's world status without them! ;-) (A remembrance of simpler times).

Not that I would ever want to put a label on your beliefs Sandy. But feeling about nature as you explained, you might be what is called a Pantheist. Pantheists dont believe in deities, spirits or supernatural powers. In fact Pantheists believe that what is divine is right here on on Earth. In fact it is Earth. Pantheists central belief is that the universe, the earth, and nature are divine, and so they should be treated as sacred. Once again a superb video mate. Thank you!

And then blessed with the famous and mysterious "Magical Beer Tree." It doesn't often let you down. I think that the bike and bivi are the perfect combination for a quick and easy camp setup. You will probably put lots of use into that in the future. Thanks for allowing us to join you, an inspiring experience my friend. See you on the next one.

Excellent camping trip sandy! Wish I had a mate like Shane , he's a good egg. I think I'd be claustrophobic in a bivvy but would love to have a go. Closest I've been to that is I have a DD Travel hammock, which transforms into a waterproof bottomed bivvy with bug net, which I combined with my DD tarp turning it into a tarp tent formation. Great fun!

Still subscribed. My friends are cutting hay. It's been in the 90's. I asked him about the old days of square bales and they would have 2000 or so on one field. We never had that much to cut for one or two cows. Now he does it with a tractor and lift with 900 lb round bales. Probably has 100 or so by now. Lots of cattle to feed. Another neighbor does sileage. About 17 acres of it. Tiny by farm's out west standards but he is pushing 80 years old. Stay safe.

Wiltshire is a beautiful county, the bird song is excellent! A lovely feast! A mid summers night dream, Billy wagglepole of course lol. Ugh coffee, tea every time for me! Paganism yes there's some truths in it, but it seems to worship the creation rather than the creator, a simple religion for a simpler time. Quite a lot of superstitions are traceable to Paganism, still if it works, well & good, it can be a comfort in stressful times. Lovely adventure, so very relaxed I bet Shane has some good yarns to tell.

Inner tubes are cheap as chips Sandy. Discard your punctured tubes and buy a bunch of new tubes, that’s the best way to go. No really need to ride on repaired tubes. That’s how it was back in the day. Not any more!

Just a thought Sandy, I have a similar bike to you (Sonder Camino Ti) and have gone tubeless - I was dubious at first but wow what a revelation - the rare occation I get a puncture that doesn't auto-seal I have a plug kit (dynaplug racer) which is very easy to use. I also carry the light weight tpu tubes just in case; I use the tubolito tubes - expensive but I've yet to get a puncture that needed them. Anyway if you do go tubeless my tip is to put two wraps of rim tape on (don't ask me how I know ..).
