This video may well send you off to sleep! In a reflective mood after losing my little camping dog Elsa to cancer. This is the first camp without her. Beautiful little dog that she was, I'll dedicate this one to her memory

We’ll all miss Elsa. She was a lovely little dog and clearly an excellent camping companion. At least you may reflect on all the wonderful trips you had together. I’m quite sure she enjoyed them every bit as much as you did.

Sorry to hear about Elsa, its devastating to lose your closest friend, they don't judge you and take every step next to you with their heads high. This video is perfect in her memory, peaceful and shows the beauty that is Wiltshire (I am a Merseyside man). I settled in Trowbridge after I left the Army, Wiltshire is one of the UK's little treasures.

Brilliant video Sandy! It's good to be quiet and listen to the beautiful sounds of nature. Although water straight from a spring can be edible, it's best to boil it just to be on the safe side. There are people who love the sound of rain hitting the tent, but there are also people who hate it. Thanks for sharing, take care, Jordan.

There are animals who have to endure terrible lives. Elsa was loved and continues to be loved. I don't believe in life after death except to the extent that while you are alive and remember those who have gone before you... they stll live. Love this vid Sandy

Awww Sandy ... Ive just rewatched this (24th oct '23) and can relate to Elsa being your camp dog,.... My wee 11 year old Jack Russell has cancer and he's my pal... KTF🙏

Hi Marty, Little Elsa was a great camping companion and when she died aged 14 and a half it really cut me to the quick, but the weight of this loss is opposite and proportionate to the amount of love she gave through all those years. She was with me for all of her life and some of mine and I guess it'll be the same for you when the time comes. Sadly it will and we have to accept that. I wish they had longer lives. I was 4 months without a dog and the house felt empty until we got Carmen the Spanish rescue dog. She was shy and very nervous and it took a further 4 months for her to settle in but now we have an inseparable bond as I do with the other dog also a Spanish rescue called Zeta. Not sure on their past history as they came to us fully grown aged around 2, Carmen is nervous around strangers but becoming very assertive at home (A good guard dog) Zeta has never become fully house trained, I can take her for a long walk of an hour or two and she is highly likely to use the conservatory as a toilet on our return! We love them both very much despite their funny ways :) It's true what they say about time being a great healer! Sandy
