I agree. This format is fun. I certainly hope a player I have never heard of wins tomorrow. That would be amazing to see him win more money in one day than Jordan Spieth or John Rahm have won all year. 4.75 mil if you win the tournament and the team comp. In the post Tiger era, the PGA tour is boring. This is a nice shakeup to make golf relevant and fun to watch.

The money does not really matter, as far as watching golf goes, this is a far lesser product than we are used to. But of course it is just the first one. The course they are playing has like 7 par 5s (par 74 at 7100 yards) so I am surprised that DJ is not closer to the top.

What do you think the LIV-player contracts are like for the really unknown players? Guaranteed money but just not much? I assume LIV would cut those players if and when they recruit better-known guys.

Only when you put the PGA up next to LIV do you see how badly the PGA has been ripping off golfers all these years and how cheap they are. For instance, PGA players have to rent their own vehicles and drive themselves to the course. LIV chauffers the players in luxury SUVs.

First off, who is paying you? LIV golf or KZbin? Jesus. You make an excuse for everything that’s wrong with this tour. We don’t know any of the players because they are trash. Everyone is either over the hill in their career or no names, outside of DJ and Gooch, and that includes Rickie and Reed. Just cause LIV has an endless pit of money doesn’t mean it’s exciting to watch. In no way will this tour be profitable unless they get a mainstream cable partner and sponsorship. Just because the PGA tour has 1.5 billion in revenue doesn’t mean that is their profits. If you want to watch every shot of a top player subscribe to PGA tour live, which is a better watch than LIV. LIV is an exhibition style tour with second rate players going for a money grab from a shady government. No thanks.
