I love these bags too! They are water resistant but not completely waterproof because of the zipper. As long as you don't dunk the whole bag in a pool, you're good to go. I can put my phone and earbuds in these bags and head out in the rain. They also stay upright pretty good, it takes quite a bit of force to knock them over.
