@@orion8234 if you genuinely think they want to exterminate all ghouls, you clearly have not had Paladin Danse in your party for more than 3 minutes. If you sell Billy to slavery or are mean to the silver shroud guy, he condemns you and hates your actions. They have no hostility towards non-feral ghouls except maybe some mean comments. As a matter of fact Maxson’s BOS is more tolerable than Lyon’s BOS. And on the topic of synths, synths were created by the BOS’s enemy, obviously they’re gonna hate/be afraid of them. But since the BOS is so bad let’s talk about the railroad. The railroad only help synths and even after destroying the institute and freeing the synths, they don’t help people at all, focusing solely on helping their stupid robot waifus. Not to mention the railroad are the ones who start the conflict with the BOS as Desdemona says herself that the brotherhood are enemies before they even have a chance to set up shop. Same goes for the minutemen, the brotherhood don’t attack first, you do. The brotherhood are the only faction with the supplies to rebuild the commonwealth anyway.

I doubt the brotherhood would be alive in the canon ending. The Minutemen and the railroad hate the brotherhood, for good reason. The only time the brotherhood were really the good guys was in Fallout 3, and Fallout 4 makes it explicitly clear that the brotherhood has since gone back to its older ways.

The SS is the one who creates the hostility between the Minutemen and BOS. I did do that, I also installed a mod too make the artillery strike quicker so it’s the same strength but it comes down before the target dies of old age because 90 second for the bombardment is too long, you can’t use the Damm feature. You rlly feel like you did something putting a supply line threw entire common wealth with srtilery supp everywhere, you build up settlement making them incredible secure, one farmer one supplier one srtilerist and one plunderer

Once you have put a few dozen and even a few hundred hours into settlements mods related to the minutemen (buffed militia mod), they can easily defeat all forces in the commonwealth, the best part is that you feel more connected to the minutemen because you see it at its lowest point, and witness its rise to its prime, from just a few straggling survivors from the Quincy Massacre & a Sole Survivor that just entered the world of fallout with no experience, to a force to be reckoned with, thats the beauty of Fallout.

Although the minutemen fell at the Gunners stand during the fight of Quincy, they got a new general, and while empowered by the force of the greif, revenge was taken. First they defeated the deathclaw and raiders trapping them in the museum of freedom in Concord, Moving up to sanctuary, they took back settlements, leading to the quest of the castle. Taking a sneak attack commanded by the general, they killed all the mirelurks and eggs at the castle, luring out the queen, and with the help of the Sole Survivor (General), They had slain the Mirelurk Queen. A long time later, they were tasked with building the teleportation machine for the Sole Survivor. With this done, the Soul Survivor traveled to the Institute, Killed The Father, regained the info tape and gave the minutemen Conformation to destroy the instutute. Now with the Institute destroyed, they could go on with phase 2 of the plan. The Brotherhood. Like for part 2!!!

No, each faction can have settlements. The brotherhood can solo the institute without the sole survivor. The Minitumen is still super powerful with the SS at their side. The MM can send the SS to deal with anything and he will accomplish anything, Without the SS, the leadership for the MM would fail even if the SS sustained an economy of settlements across the commonwealth already. The MM would win every time against the Brotherhood if the SS has maxed out settlements, but that really isn’t the MM anymore because you can make settlements for any faction besides the MM (for example my outpost zimonjia is a brotherhood settlement). Btw the Railroad is complete fodder compared to the other 3 factions, it also doesn’t make sense to side with them because have no real long term goals execpt to free the institutes creations.

I love how you just made one of the best gaming ideas ever and 1 person says "wat song is this?" They could make it to where you're the inside man inside the BoS so you know what the BoS next move is and tell it to the RR and MM. You then convince the BoS to "wipeout" the RR and you "confirm" that there are no survivors. Convincing the BoS that the RR is truly dead. From there your idea would take place. Using MM settlements to hide runaway synths(RAS) They could even go further and make a series of unending quests like the following 1.)someone found out about the secret secret operation of RR and you must track eliminate the threat before they tell the BoS. Whether you convince, threaten or kill the person. 2.) The BoS decides to start searching for remnants of the RR or RAS. The sole survivor can either lead the mission their own way to steer the BoS away from certain Settlements deemed RR operations or he can go ahead of the BoS and tell the RR and RAS that the BoS are coming. You can either relocate the operation to a different base, or you can build a hidden bunker for the RR and RAS to hide in until the BoS walks away(of course the bunker would have to be added to the workshop)

One of the things I’ve always hated about the Minutemen is how dependent they are on ONE person, the general (you). They send you to take care of petty problems, look at you for guidance for damn near everything, and literally fell apart because they had only a single guy to hold things together. I consider the ending where the brotherhood, railroad and minutemen survive to be canon, the minutemen will likely take control, the railroad will either dissipate or try to help synths, and the brotherhood will stay for a bit before leaving for some other place.

​@@grimgrauman7650 mind you because the reason why the BOS even stand a sliver change against them is because of the Lone Wanderer, a time bending god and because leniency of the Enclave. The first reason is self explanatory because the plot demand you to win against them just like the Chosen did in Fo2. The second is that the Enclave can just wipe out the BOS in the citadel using the orbital cannon but decided not to because they feared it will damage the Pentagon, a building of historic stature.

They are not that crasy strong unless they have some kind of superbase they can operate from (for that you can give credit to the player character, destroying the base)

​@@grimgrauman7650 here's the thing, they lose alot of their peoples during the exploition of their oil rig, including most of their supplies, technology, etc. Although they were some still holdup at Navarro, they got overun possibly 20-1 against both the NCR and BOS, it was never a fair fight. Not to mention that alot of the enclave left Navarro to go to Raven Rock in Washington D.C. because Eden called out to them to come.

I like the minutemen but the only way they could possibly resemble and be a proper powerful fighting force is by using mods and that is what I do because in vanilla fallout 4 late game minute men still use laser muskets and wear 0 armor unless you put it onto them but they would have to be part of your settlement to do that

Idk by level 20 with no mods they run around in full metal armour in my game, & the laser musket is a decent weapon if they can hit their shots, but a lot use combat rifles & submachine guns too

Honestly, if we ever get an official lore, the Minutemen ARE a powerhouse at the end of the game. They have artillery, the NCR and BoS doesn't have artillery. They have an airforce, the NCR didn't even have a full fledged airforce. They had a strong sense of unity and genuine Patriotism, nobody else had Patriotism like the Minutemen. And now they have countless volunteers joining up headed by a strong Sole survivor with pre war US army training like the world has never seen before!

All they have is preston, player, and some settlers, if you even count settlments as being apart of the Minutmen anyways. The Brotherhood or the Institute allied with them could hold some victories possibly. This is an entire civilization vs a city full of men dressed up with cloth and goofy looking hats.

The reason I'm considered a "Heathen" and perfer Fallout 4 to New Vegas is The Minutemen, tbh. In NV, as good of a game as it is, you have no Good options on who you want to win. House is just a Control Freak, The Legion is basically a "Cultured" Raider Gang and the NCR is more corrupt than OG Las Vegas ever was(and it was originally built by THE MAFIA). The Minutemen so far has been the only Faction in Fallout History to not have an Ulterior motive for helping you, Preston was honestly being a nice guy.

That’s exactly why NV is so good. It doesn’t just offer a cliche good guy ending, but instead forces you have to make a hard choice in what faction YOU personally believe is the best future for the Mojave. Having a “right” choice as to what faction to choose is dumb imo. Why would anyone ever side with the Institute for example? They are the generic bad guys, and offer little to no insensitive to actually ever choose them over any other faction in the game when looking at what they offer the world. Come to think of it, wtf are the Institute’s goals actually..?

Actually, it is canonicall that The MM are potentially the strongest from the start of the game. They have the most numbers, they are just divided. (that's why they were falling) In the game we just bring them together using beacons. They have laser muskets, which is insanelly strong. They have strong set of actually Righteous ideals which drive people towards them. They have access to resources, huge resources unlike any other faction. Only thing separating them from being strongest faction as an organisation is... organising. All they need is to get united, which actually could do ANYONE, they don't need SS in padticular, it just happens that it was him. While other 3 factions need the particular position that Nate has within eachothers ranks to win, without the Nate they are in stalemate, and any open attacks will destroy all the fighting sides. (At this point i realised that writing Sole Survivors with initials might trigger some YT algorithm xD) And army with sheer awesomnes of their sick beats, will crush any enemy. Imagine a regiment of fully equipped MM, with a giant speaker tuned on freedom. And just after crushing a horde of bandits, with them laying dead or wounded you hear "it's all quiet now, stay safe out there". Also, in one quest line, if we fail to contact the spy, Desdemona says the only one with forces strong enough to defeat Institute are The MM. But that's just a fun fact, not a point to make. (Maybe a little)
