I’m of the belief that Stein tanked some questions on purpose during the second round. Stein couldn’t be buzzing in all day long answering all the questions, that’d make for a boring show, so I get it. The “true” Ben Stein and his intelligence are put on display in the final round, where it’s one on one…..I think that’s Stein unfiltered, really going for it. And yes, even highly intelligent guys like Stein will miss an answer or two every so often. I always loved when he’d walk out of the booth and get bleeped for swearing after a particularly hard run of questions. I really miss this show a lot 😞😢
