3:50 In my opinion Ursaluna Bloodmoon was always super used, you can see that on Pokémon Home checking the stats of the season, Dragonite and Ursaluna was both the most used mons of the format respectively, on the season, which is not that surprise, I didn't noticed if on the beginning of the format was always like that but I guess was, and a fun fact both of these mons were chosen by the Pokémon Company to represent the format as soon as you enter the Battle Stadium on the banner there, which that is surprising to me, and shows that the Pokémon Company knows their Pokémon and their players very well QOTD: I don't use Spotify, but I use KZbin Music tho, and my favorite artist musician, was Josh A, really underrated, not much people knows him, and I just like him A LOT, hope you like him as well if you decide to listen some of his songs

@CybertronVGC You're definitely right specially in terms of Regionals and huge tournaments, I just meant about mainly the game ladder, I think had a very decent usage since the beginning of the format The only bad thing about Ursaluna, which it's good cuz kinda makes it balanced, is that it is quite dependent on speed control, and is a little weak on the special side, but ye, very good mon, kinda curious to see how will it perform in the next format

I don’t think I agree with this. The beauty in Pokémon is that you can create a niche for any Pokémon to fill and then build your team around it. There are always going to be pokemon stronger than others, but calling it power creep is arguable. Kyogre and Lugia are two of the oldest legendaries and both of which were still very viable in the restricted format. Charizard is a gen one mon that’s still outputting some of the highest damage in the format. Intimidate isn’t a new or unique ability, yet it’s arguably the best tool on any team. There are new variables in every generation that players have to adapt to, but I don’t think that “devalues” other mons. That’s why specifically in this format you still see so many unique teams and mons that can perform well. If you want to use any specific Pokémon, it’s up to you to teambuild and find a role that mon can succeed in. Just because it’s not statistically the “Most effective tactic available” doesn’t mean it’s bad. This idea is what’s wrong with video games as a whole today IMO. So many people think you have to use whatever the KZbinrs/streamers say is the meta to be able to perform well. I think part of the reason Aaron makes these videos is to show that this is not the case

To learn how to play competitive pokemon would you suggest picking a team and just kinda playing that team over and over again until you learn how the format works. I am trying to figure out how to get into this I just don't understand how the meta works in this game. It seems so broad as far as opportunity and chance, I come from FPS games like valorant so you know those games are pretty simple in comp. as far as meta goes in a certain season so its easy to catch on in like 2-3 days you know in this games the option of combination is so big I cant build enough confidence to play haha because my games wont turn out like these till I learn every pokemon I'm guessing
