£586 for an LCD? That's a joke from the company to just try to earn a load from markup on parts surely.... How much did you pay for the machine? These are one of my favourite

Hi, yes the prices from namco are prices for businesses that make enough money to not think about the extortion of the price. It really is a terrible thing for hobbyists. The machine only cost about 150-200, if I remember. Because of the fault. But having finally fixed it for a price of around 80 for a new board, the lcd was returned for a full refund as not needed and the other parts were sold on. So it was still quite a tidy profit I made. Yes, I've gotta admit, this is one of my favourites too.

@@InsidetheArcade Oh, I was going to be expecting a lot worse to be honest, and the fact it all worked out in your favour, in the end, is great. Keep up the content!

Thank you, yes thankfully it wasn't a loss as it could've been quite a substantial one. Thank you for the positive comment. Im working on more pusher videos at the moment with a Harry Levy Full House Bingo machine at the moment. Cheers 👍👍👍

@@InsidetheArcade Awesome only recently started checking out some videos of pushers etc again. If you could do a video of the Pacman one that shoots, well i think it is Pacman, I'd love to see that from you too, from what i remember it properly shoots the coin diagonally up from where you enter it to where it can then go down the 'plinko' style pegs and through the usual process. Any machines that try to change things up I'm drawn to as I'm sure many are as a plain pusher isn't most fun if you want to watch or play much. And it's not to worry, it's great that people make the content of anything they love as you can search anything these days and find a community of people with similar interest & enjoyment for things. Would love to get a pusher machine but don't have the room for things as it is already lol and looking online most of the machines seemed the bigger ones though quite cheap for many but then with costs like you have mentioned there is no wonder. My mother used to have a fruit machine in the house to save into & have fun, i remember a few bulbs going and it being nearly the cost of the machine. Aftermarket parts for repairs should be so much friendly all around in sustainability and encouraging people to repair which should help lower the price. Too often its bin and buy brand new now with so many things.

@@cdav2199 I've got to be honest I've not seen the one you've mentioned, I'll have to have a look out. Yes I started these videos as a hobby but so many people have reached out for advice and questions about the videos and arcade machines in general that I found it to be quite fun making more, and that was many years ago now. I have loads of plans for upcoming videos on how to make your own machines with slot machines first and then a coin pusher, but one with a video game along the lines of the pacman game. The working of these things are actually surprisingly simple and with basic concepts of these elements then you can build just about anything. Keep watching, maybe consider subscribing and you'll see when these videos will hopefully be released in the future. 👍👍😎😎👍👍

So in theory how much do you need on the playfield and on the pusher itsself and in all hoppers for this to work smoothly thanks
@InsidetheArcade5 жыл бұрын
I think there was well over £100, so about 1000-1200. That gives it a good base to run off. Any extra added would fill your cashbox nice and high 🤑🤑🤑
