If I want to hear music I'll find a music channel. The background jingle in this video almost drowns out Pater Canavan who's opinions I would like to hear. Why is the awful background music a featuring a lot now in one to one interviews. It should be banned

100% agree with the above statement, except for the bit about background music being banned. The music is very unwelcome but adding rules for videos is not the solution. Let the creators and editors of this video see the comments, likes to comments and lack of viewer engagement and they will get the message that background music takes away from an otherwise very good short interview.
