You can peen at the dovetail or silver solder base of the mag tube to build up base thickness and Swiss file to fit. Ive rebuild several older Winchester rifles and folks always destroy the dovetails ...the twist lock system was ingenious.

Hello! Been watching some of your videos, you do awesome work! What do you need besides the barrel to convert to 22lr from WRF? Is it possible to leave the WRF barrel and just change whatever else needs to be changed to shoot 22lr?
