Winchester model 74 .22 rifle trigger adjustment

I disassembled my 74 for cleaning and found a spring unattached. The clarity of the video showed me the location. Thank you.

I have a 1950 Winchester 74 22lr. It was drilled and tapped for a weaver side mount scope. I thinking of having it drilled and tapped for a modern center fire scope.

1939 to 1955 was when the 74 was made .it was patented in 1902.

Did you drill and tap the receiver for the scope of did it come pre drilled? I’m restoring a 74 now and would like a scope but don’t remember if it was factory drilled.

My father had his drilled and tapped for a weaver side mount scope. It was popular then, seems arcane now. Side mounts are not ergonomic.
