when I was a kid I used to spend most of my summer holidays playing in the vast countryside, all I could hear was the sound of the wind, birds, bees and crickets, sometimes I slept on the grass whenever I felt tired, I used to sit on the top of a hill and watch in silence the sunset. At night I used to sit next to my grandfather and looked at the stars to identify shapes and faces. We never had a television, no internet, no entertainment but we were amazingly happy. The time was elapsing so slow, yet I have never felt bored. I figured out I am a loner, addicted to this feeling of freedom, of loneliness, of the wide sky and of the infinite landscape, of silence and serenity. That was my world, the holder of my dreams and imaginations. This video has awaken all these memories. I used to be free, now I am sitting on chair doing stuff I have never wanted to do... I never wanted this, my soul feels trapped, and my brain is detained in my past. The only thing that makes me happy is to remember how my life was, then it is the depression that I fight each day..

You know......drawing the line, making a cut and go live in a place where you can be self-sufficient again without all of modern days technology isn't that hard. Especially when you compare it to the hardness of a life lived in sadness and whishing every day would be like the freedom from your youth again.

You truly brought heaven to life in that description! Maybe you could become a writer and live in a place like that again, writing about that amazing childhood that sounds like Little House on the Prairie! We all wish we had that growing up! My biggest dream, I believe, is to eventually move out to a place like what you describe and buy or build a home in rural America, where the prairie meets the forest and creeks. I also suffer from anxiety and other disorders related to Asperger’s, and I also envision a possible future when I’m much older where I could be a writer and live in solitude. It will be hard, but at some point I want to get married and give my kids the life I never could have had and be the kind of parent I wanted for myself. I wouldn’t hold back anything about spiritual matters, sexuality, or any controversial topics with them. I would be fully-present for them and not put up boundaries. My parents tried to give me a good life and largely did, but they have a very tough, work-or-die outlook on life and don’t really give much room for ‘laziness’. I want to build a paradise for myself and my kids as well. I want to have a ton of dogs and let them enjoy nature, their paradise. Right now I am 24 and totally trapped and dependent on our family business, where a job was created for me after college. I got diagnosed with Asperger’s and my parents fought that and kept pushing me to work or else. No time to even recuperate from a lifetime of suffering, just more warring and fighting for my survival and right to heal. I’m still in that fight, and I don’t know when or if I can ever break free. I’ve always loved rural areas but now I have that craving very strongly to move out there. I can actually heal and come to a sort of peace out there. I feel the presence or majesty of something very strong and benevolent out there, and no one’s around to put a religious label on whatever it is or force me to obey a bunch of rules. I make my own rules out there, and as I am blessed by that benevolent force I in turn act kind and shelter the weak. I wish to be a strong, loving force in the world; this is the life I want for myself, very much. I’ve given up on there ever being a career that will be my dream, as I’m not interested enough in anything available to try out as my career, and I don’t care, I just want to get out to a peaceful landscape and be free!

This takes me back to one of the most calming moments I had in my life. Always dealt with the hustle and bustle of things but one moment as a kid we were out deer hunting and we stopped on the side of the hill away from the wind on a cool afternoon facing the sun. This was the first time I ever just stopped and took everything in. Hearing the wind blowing through pasture. Feeling the heat of the sun on my face. I will never forget that moment

When I was in the eighth grade where I lived had a really big hill and grass all around it I used lay down on the grass and listen to the wind when it’s windy and sunny it was so relaxing it always calms me down but since I couldn’t go outside anymore it wasn’t fun sitting quiet in the house and I got bored of it but when this video came out I got so happy it reminded me of when I used to go outside on the grass 🌾❤️🌾

I love the grass blowing around! Very unique! My only issue with it is, from my experience, the cricket sound doesn't come till evening and this looks midday. The sound of the flies is appropriate, even the occasional bird.. but my favorite part is just the subtle rustling of the grass. I would love to see a version of this with just that sound of the grass , soft and distant.
@RelaxingSoundsOfNature7 жыл бұрын
Where I live you can hear the crickets all day... their peak is in the evening but they are active also the rest of the day, that's why it's almost impossible to film only the sound of the grass. Sorry for a late reply and thanks for watching!

I love this, i get the same feeling when i watch a different video. I could almost put myself back into the grassy fields(this was during the time i lived in germany). On windy days i could see the grass and wheat flow through the wind like the ocean waves. My mom would often take us on walks to get us outside of the house, hated it and i wanted to just be left alone to be on my computer. But now a couple years has passed since we've been there and i miss it very much. I long for the smell of grass and the wind blowing through my hair and face. Hopefully someday when im able to. i'll go back and walk the same places i walked and enjoy it once more.
