The most powerful song without a flute. It proves his and the bands versatility.

What a great song! And Martin Barre's guitar work is a favorite of mine.

This has always been a favourite of mine.

@TheRealRedAce fantastic, my friend. It's even on karaoke. It pretty much depicts some of my own conclusions. I went off to Bible College, and the song pretty much describes it from there.

Great work, but please can you correct the release date ["Wind Up" is the fifth track of the side two of the fourth studio album "Aqualung"] which is 1971? And this version isn't a remix, but does it seem to me that it's the original of the time. Thanks a lot

I Some how missed this song back in the day, and I like it none the less. As I consider the words of the song, my mind fly's out to these scriptural references to complete the sentiment of the song. John 4: 19-26 where Jesus is speaking with the Samaritan women at the well. Key verses being 23 and 24, with verse 25 showing her lack of understanding as to whom stands before her, still looking for Messiah, and ends with verse 26 and Jesus declaring “I, the one speaking to you-I am he.” And now let us do what verse 23 states and worship the father in the Spirit and in Truth, for these are the worshipers that he seeks. To tie back to the song which say's that God is, "He's not the kind you have to wind up on Sundays"

They played the shit out of Aqualung on the radio but never heard Wind up until years later. The first JT album I bought was Minstrel in the gallery I only made enough $ from my paper route to buy weed.

This song was released far before 1990.

1990??? More like 1970!!!

It was probably a remix date release. I know all about it coming out in the early seventies, jammed down to it a lot back then.

I don't see how? What are you hearing that I'm not? The other ones volume seems to low, I always wanted to crank it up a bit. This was just a straight download as I recall. Oh well, thanks for commenting.
