Was unfortunate to have stayed at this ‘ heritage's property about eight years back. We, self and son, had come to India for a holiday. The less I remember of the stay the better. The initial villa that we went into had problems of water leakage in the wash room. We moved to another villa, which I guess was unprepared, as there were not too many guests in the premises. The room had a persistent musty odour and a leaking flush in the toilet. We stayed for three days but could tolerate only one dinner and a breakfast the following morning. We chose to eat out as a much better option. The main building has tons of smelly, worn out carpets strewn all over, sometimes in layers prompting the possibility of tripping all the time. This is the only place in the world that I have been to where the bar ? serves ' peanuts' with single malt. Wonder what Laphroaig or Lagavulin will have to say about that ! The staff who run the reception were very nice and courteous. Some mollification there. A truly heritage property which can, I am not sure about what, boast about its past. I hope the management has stopped cutting corners in the pretext of not modernising a heritage property.
