Even on this thread people are saying oh the two races and people came together. This is so bogus Black people are Cherokees though Cherokee is not their real names whites named us Cherokee among other things. Even so called indians want to kick blacks out of the tribe this sound like bull ish. How come no poster red indians ever fouhgt any wars for this country? How come they didn't fight in the civil war. Well really they did if you know which people to look at. What are their alleged numbers in America? Where are there cultural influences, music, art, medicine, technology. How come they are fighting to keep so called Africans/Blacks out of their own tribes that existed before they came along from war, ravage, and rape? How come the indian doesnt know his ancestors? Do you know they word Indian and Indo means Black, Dark?

you know nothing of Aniyvwiya history. Tsalagi get their modern name from the Creek's who called them "People who speak different tongue" because their language is Iroquoian. The Tsalagi have NEVER removed their enrolled freedmen, that is, descendants of Cherokee slaves of African descent. By the way, Cherokee fought in every conflict in this country ever. And on BOTH sides of the Civil War (Look up Thomas' Legion) .Our culture is all around you, the aniunega, white man, has attempted to bury it because they fear what they can't control. That being said, there are many lines of mixed Cherokee/African, they are still members of the tribe. They are only one thing, Wiya, Native. They lived with the culture for centuries, they walked the trail. They speak the language. But they don't pretend the fullbloods are impostors and besmirch the legacy of a brave and bold people who have yet to be truly conquered. This woman is only indigenous in my eyes, she looks part native, but her spirit is 100% aniyv'wiya. You are 100% aniunega in your thought process. (white) Stop doing the white man's dirty work for him, you're hurting your ancestors very greatly and underminding their sacrifices.

I'm white Brazilian and in 2017 I was doing meditation at a Spiritist Center in my neighborhood and the instructor played the drum with this song. I love the indigenous culture of the Americas. As in the US, here in Brazil, indigenous culture is largely ignored by politicians, citizens and intellectuals. But I am happy to see that every day I can see more people valuing this beautiful people that are the Amerindians!❤❤❤

I've been researching every inside my family it's been taught that we are natives, then selling further, we are Hebrews, and this song was the sound that really brought everything into proper perspective. I heard the native right away as well as the soul of today's sound but pure the true essences of modern R&B, I'm a child of the spirit and was caught up by the cry out there slaves. In this song I found my ancestors for the first time I know who I am and no words can describe this feeling. Thank you fam it's 3:45AM and I'm about to listen to it again.

yeah i kinda agree with Pammyk, there are definitely some cultural similarities between the two races. I mean, my dad's black and my mom's Native American (Choctaw), so being exposed to both cultures i can definitely see the mix b/w the Native rhythm with the African soul. It accents the song really nicely. My friends mom who's Cherokee sings this song all the time, but i've never heard it like this. Walela comes close, but this version is by far my favorite!!

My grandmother lived until she was 96- My other aunty 93, and MY daughters Great grandmother 92- all had something in common, they tell us Chillen's that we are part Indian people. but they do not get into the politics of the converation, they just talk about our relatives and how they converted to christianity...lol

And how are these women "Whitney Houston wannabe's"? because they can sing and there black? They are blending to styles and paying tribute. @morgandollarhide7 it is a weird concept huh? that a language might have different dialects. I speak English, Spanish, French and a dialect of Italian that is used in Naples. In each of those languages I have encountered native speakers that I have a very hard time understanding because of a regional dialect.

MikmaqWoman--it's upbeat because it's a MORNING song--not a mourning song! I am 1st generation US American--the 1st generation of my family to be born in N America--& I come come from several different Eurasian indigenous peoples... there are 400,000 + indigenous people all around the world & we have travelled & shared our cultures for 10's of 1000's of years. Inka in Peru talk about how MY people came down to visit them 30,000 years ago... Now the internet is letting us share & connect again!

A lot of native Americans share your lineage, and descend fron Eurasian tribes, though the groups in which you speak of like the Inca, and the other groups encountered by Europeans are the people now classified as African Americans, also many indigenous if Canada were truly rooted out and the native groups there todah descend mostly as you said from Euarasian/Mongol tribes and Europeans, although the original people resembled what most know as negros, the Europeans who first made contact in the americas were swarthy families and Jewish converso and moors as well as berberz from North Africa, accounts state how they had brought jews with them for the purpose of translating between them and the indigenous populations who spoke and ancient form of what most know as "Hebrew"

The was no America when Gad came here, that came afterwards and they started slaughtering and enslaving us, then they sent back to get our other people and enslaved them. We were here first, they were the immigrants.

@@angelaoliver2011 from what I researched I have reason to believe this was the lands or part of that which Adam walked and first grew crops after the flood everyone was in asia, atleast of Noah's line, before the Assyrian captivity the Tribes of Dan, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher knew that it was coming and left while the gettin was good, uts wce8fent some brothers were closer to each other than others, maybe due to relation being fill brothers rather than half, Simeon and Levi were full brothers and often together, the four Tribes previously mentioned came from the handmaids of Iacob rather than his women, whilst the majority of the northern kingdom was whisped away through tartary into tge Americas they fled to dinhabah which is Africa where they slayed many cushites while expanding every direction for three days, probably why E1b1A is found amongst "bantu" peoples in east central and west Africa where they migrated, before the paleskins even usurped Europe we were in the Americas the Roman catholic edomites who were swarthy took the southern kingdom to Europe, later bringing them here with them and their woodwose paleskin slaves from Africa who later invaded Eurioe took over them did the same here, them not knowing the difference between a descendant of Iacob, Esau or Cush, they labeled everyone with melanin black and those without white all these paleskins came from the boers and Tribes of Africa so did thevmongoloids "natives" in Asia and Siberia they are genetically linked to paleskins and both came out of Africa NOT the Negroes 1000 years ago asia and tge rest of tge world excluding Africa was ruled by melanated people Africa the opposite, psalms 83 all nations came against the 12 Tribes and know hide in plain sight as those they are not, nesian is a word for hittite we are afro asiatics not africans the africans came from Europe, Asia and the Americas , the American negro is descendants of the Aboriginal Indian brought to the Americas as well as the Europeans , look up siddis they push that they are African same as with us though they don't look African neither do we, they have the same or similar genetics as the 12 Tribes descendants, all eastern martial arts came from these people oyt if India who were most likeky the same as tte kun lun. The tribe of Dan went and became the Danes, sojourning amongst the gentile and heathens, the Dutch said siam is Iudea on maps the sayan is the zion in the long of sin/plain of shinar (china) all easterb martial arts seem to have came from monks out of India many resembling kun Lun or negritos as Portuguese (Brazilians/Angolans) would say the kun lun mountain is a across from the mountain of heaven in between is the taklamakan and Gobi deserts quite possibly the site of the exodus, mongol huns/tartars were to replace us as they can bee seen from the Americas as recognized as indigenous to asia all lands of shem, we were brought into America possibly back to Egypt (mexico) from there displaced across the continent mostly to regions owned by Assyria including the eastern Seaboard, where explorers first made contacts as well as in the Caribbean when they began to set uo shop and we made problems for us they sent us as slaves to the islands, remember iacob and esua twins so architecture here is similar to there and though the euroeans had way or curly hair not wooly, Edom mixed with cananan, Australian aborig8nes are darker than most negroes tho7gh have wavy to straight hair, they are related to dravidians, the siddis in India are not dravidian nor nilotic, rather are negro/negroid same with most negrito groups in asia many of which are E1B1A just as the American Negro, many times Americas aren't true negroes or descendants of Iacob, the Euroeans were swarthy and tawny until they began to get invaded in the 14/1500s, they shipped more of us to Africa then sent from their many Europeans fled to sub Sahara Africa and here, starting colonies new Amsterdam by the Dutch who are they the Germans were apart before Germany became a nation by the paleskins, they pushed Christianity and catholicism which goes against torah and have an ultimatum of death and perpetual slavery or follow their idol, not all skin folk is kin folk, and we give Wayy too much credit to the paleskins for things they never did, most of them were produced in coney Island and shipped cross country on orphan trains, they are mostly responsible for tge suppression of truth and destruction of evidence, Australians south africans English and Americans all come from the same stock, that incaded Germany the boers of Africa amongst other paleskins Tribes like goths and visigoths, many brought by moors and Europeans elsewhere later invading and taking over, they were mostly servants here alongside the few negroes/Indians enslaved though they were indentured we were not able to be emancipated, once they were the wildwest kicked up for decades before they finally let the dust settle most of our cities destroyed by then and then gaining a sense of self and identity forming against those whom they grouped together unjustly, leading us to believe all skin folk is kin folk and we all came kut of Africa when that is the furthest from truth, and in all actuality Africa is their motherland, the oalskin and mogngols both, NOT that of th negroes who are afro asiatic shemites, NOT hamites like cushites cananites etc which include a lot of east africans and paleskins, until recent times everybody was melanated from seems line to cham and Iapheth, except perhaps those mixed with bon Hueman populations, yes we are more indigenous to these lands than the mongols and paleskisn though this is the land lived by Adam and those before the flood, that promised we'd be brought in to if we did not follow torah, our alloted lands are across arsareth (beringia) in Sin (china) north nearer to the sayan and tien shan and kunlun shan and Southern kingdom of Ayutthaya in Siam. 𐤏𐤔𐤅𐤉 𐤀𐤄𐤅𐤄 𐤋𐤁𐤓𐤊 𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌 𐤏𐤋𐤉𐤊𐤌 (may peace be upon you, and I Am bess you)

It is obvious you do not know the old Cherokee dialect. This was taught to me by my grandmother. The words ARE Cherokee and mean "Come now Sun" "Come now come now, break the mantle". By simply changing the word ya ya= Now' adding hoho ,now the song takes on a new meaning, not the one it was intended for. It was sung in the morning to "bring in the day of Sun". When we raise our hands to the Sun trying to come up above the earth, and help Her! Dont change My traditions! Go change yours!!

Indians as in Americans (the copper colored races of American also known as negros) the country many of us know as India today wasn't called that in antiquity rather more so hindustan and other names, the Dutch and British were already in the east indies by the time the Spanish sent "Columbus" (Zarco) on his voyage, so his trying to find a way there doesn't make sense because the route goes along the western coast of Africa toward the south and up the other going east the Spanish, Dutch amd Portuguese sent many indentured servants from the east indies and South pacific though the weren't slaves like the American Indians who the sent many if to Europe and Africa, before later sending many back to America from Africa centuries later, the case with the indentured servants was they were to be worked for a period of time whereas for the slaves their was no end, many of the nations who invaded the americas were of swarthy complexion from the Spanish and Portuguese all the way to the Dutch and Germans they were all related families and stemmed back to The Holy Roman Empire, many of the people who claim descent from those European nations are actually albino dravidians and siberains, the mutations of light hair and skin started in the Baltic and siberain regions, though light eyes having occurred thousands of years earlier purportedly, the Stuarts, whom king James was a member of, were swarthy Europeans Stuart and Schwartz translate to swarthy, there's more than one type of albinism ranging from no pigmentation whatsoever to them being able to attain it later in life albino Hindus, and even Australian aborigines are almost indistinguishable from modern Europeans...

Your heritage started here when your great great grandparents forefathers were brought here as indentured servants and the other half paid five dollars to become recognized as Indians while we were reclassified as negros keep the reservations if ya like, if you were Indians where are the crops, you don't know how to till your own land? how you guys got land yet the reservations don't grow except for when there's a casino on it, all yall wanna eat is stuff the government will give you and say how the culture has been lost when yall dint know it cause yall gi e fake it till ya make it, take a DNA test tell me that shit don't come back positive for eurasian, though those aren't he most reliable, look at the indigenous groups of Siberia, whom are Russian too and are allowed to go from Siberia to Alaska historically, and the natives in Canada and now you and the others on reserves who have Spanish names as well and the Filipinos who have Spanish names they transported yall across the pacific and from Siberia through Canada, we weren't brought here on ships, and when we were is when they shipped us to other places and later back and reclassified as as negro and African slaves because they outlawed Indian slavery, your peole more like held slaves then were captive, even look at the reall black foot of alberta look uo "Winnipeg Jack" and you gon say what? Oh they adopted him in to the tribe? Cause the Blackfoot today look nothing like him and he was the tribes medicine man why would they make an outsider their shaman? They woudnt.
