I don't know of any 6 cylinder SUVs that use a CVT. Maybe there are now in some models?..I haven't checked every new vehicle stats. Common in 4 cylinder vehicles. I don't have any problem with mine at the moment and it's great on the highway, but I wish all manufacturers would stop using them except maybe in hybrids and electric vehicles. This is a very nice vehicle but if I were buying in this price range and a SUV, I would take the Acura MDX.

65k and I don't get a V8 in an "suv" with a third row? Could at least turbo'ed the V6. Dang near sounds like a timing chain tensioner is loose with the hood popped. This thing gives me 8 year old van vibes. As a g owner and lover I swear Infiniti has lost there way.

Besides the QX80/QX56 with the 5.6L V8, Infiniti has never offered a V8 in their 3-row SUVs. In fact the only other 3-row they offer is the JX35/QX60 which has always come with the 3.5L V6. FX50/QX70 is the only other SUV they offered with a V8 but those are 2-row SUVs. Not sure what you're getting at. Also not sure what you mean by loose timing chain tensioner sound. Thats direct injection ticking sound and most, if not all, DI engines make loud ticking sounds. Honda and BMW are the worst, with me being able to tell a Honda when one pulls beside me or when I'm walking in town. My Audi is the worst, though the HPFP makes most of the racket.
