Between the Rav4 and the CR-V it's a coin toss. But the HR-V is definitely better than the Corolla Cross, that car bears too much resemblance to the regular Corolla. Toyota is a better brand in terms of cheap parts and maintenance. But Honda is much more long lasting and overall quality.

Took it for test-drive today, so, I'm was not impressed. Not enough acceleration for me (but it's ok for a quiet retiree ride), a lot of motor noise from high RPM because of CVT (there is some soundproofing under the hood), rather unpleasant vibration throughout the car when you stand at a traffic light - in my opinion this is unacceptable. The car made in Mexico, don't know about quality and reliability, also the load on the engine and transmission due to more weight and AWD will increase compared to the Civic... The dealership in Colorado asked for $31.115 for Sport Trim with AWD (they add $1654 to price) which is a lot for car like this I guess. So, fair price in my mind for this Car should be no more than $25-28 at the exit with all taxes. There was no desire to buy (especially for this price).

That this car, as it sits, is over $30K, is absurd! They priced this way too high,...considering the anemic and only engine option. Wrong move, Honda.
