Dear Tapan, In my 1.5 tons electrolux window AC the compressor is working fine in the dry mode. However in the cool mode the compressor is not switching on. Can u please advise about the exact problem.

If compressor is not starting at all then first you should replace the 50 MFD capacitor which starts the compressor, this is a big capacitor located in the PCB box and comes around 150-200 INR , check my other ac related videos

@@debo2kinify then it can be PCB problem under any case you should first try to replace 50 MFD capacitor because that is way cheaper and if it works a lot of energy would be saved

Hi Sir, I have one use case where when I start my window ac fan always runs and blow ls air out of it but compressor does not start even after turning it on quite sometime but sometimes compressor runs and provides cool air. But, when ever compressor starts it starts with thud sound and makes a lot of noise while running. Could you please let me know what might be the possible cause and if there is any workaround or solution. Window ac is of samsung company.

Hi @tapangupta what is the life of compressor...I am facing same problem of compressor not working for Samsung 1.5 tonne AC. I already serviced it one week ago and refilled gas as mechanic said gas leak hai isliye ice aa rha hai..repair k baad ice nai aaya..2-4 baar sahi chala fer compressor on nai ho rha.. AC is very old more than 15 years and mechanic says iski coil thick hai to isse repair kra k use kro, new models mei aisi coil nai milegi hence I'm confused if I should buy new or repair it...please advise

If AC is 15 years old while refilling the gas the mechanic must have replace filter and capillary if filter and capillary are not replace then also problem can arise tell the mechanic to first check the compressor normally compressor doesn't stop working at once
