Hello Tom, Great Video. Thanks. Question for you. How did you hang / attach your Cornish to the wall?

It’s pretty, I’m just stuck on how you fastened it to the wall.

dont know what he did....but you can 1) screw a 1 x 2 x 8 ft ledger board onto the wall...then put the cornice box on top and screw through the top piece of the cornice into the 1x2 ledger. OR 2) you can buy some L brackets (one on each end, 1 or 2 in the middle), screw them to the wall, then hang the cornice on top the L brackets and from underneath screw the bracket into the top piece of the cornice.

I used a furring strip of wood to fasten it to the wall. Basically, you attach the furring strip to the wall as a ledger board and then attach the cornice to that.

You need a new blade...burning all the edges

@@jwhome9319 The ledger board is how I do mine. I just took (not even the length of the cornice), and made it level and brad nailed it to the wall, then slipped the cornice over the board, used the brad nailer to nail the back of the cornice to that board. That works if you aren't putting it next to ceiling. Works easiest..

Those joints are the worst I've ever seen by anyone. OMG! Nothing fits the way it should. You need to tune up your saw. Gaps everywhere. And get a new blade. You shouldn't have burn marks on every cut.
