Great video! This is the most informative video I have found for vertical doors and windows, and yet concise and clear. Just one question - what are the differences between draperies using sheer fabrics and the vertical sheer blinds (HD Luminette) in terms of function and price?

Oh my goodness! Exterior shade! I did NOT think of that. Harder to keep clean I will bet but I really sleek option if you don’t want anything inside and to enjoy the glass and view optimally

Great demo and useful information. What is the best option for windy areas? I live by the coast where it’s hot, currently my sliding panels are very noisy when I have my sliding doors open. The same with roller blinds, they keep me awake 😊

I didn’t know vertical honeycomb shades existed. What a fabulous idea for sliding glass doors. I have horizontal ones on kitchen windows etc because they virtually disappear when pulled up but they also keep the heat out in summer and cold out in winter. I hate vertical blinds (I think they’re ugly) so these are an excellent option. I like the idea of exterior shades but our winters are miserable and they wouldn’t be a good option for winters especially with all the snow that sometimes gathers around our sliding glass windows.

I have the plantation shutters for 15 yrs now. They are nice to look at (although need to refurbish mine) but they take approximately 7 inches of space in my kitchen. I really wanted the blind in the double panel doors but I have 8 foot size slider. It would be custom and very pricey. Trying to figure out what other direction to go.

My biggest dilemma is if I should I get internal blinds or outside blinds. My sliding door will be in a fairly cold room addition and I'm afraid that internal blind system between two panes of glass will not be able to keep the room as warm as argon inside for example.

Double check if the manufacturer has any specific cleaning instructions. Additionally, feather duster, soft brush vacuum attachment, warm water with mild soap are a few options as well.
