Not sure how people don't understand the purpose of the chime. It's meant to be kept on during waking hours. It let's you know someone opened your door without disrupting things. Especially if you have people going in and out all day. The alarm is for when you're sleeping and need to be woken. Even expensive alarm systems like ADT work this way.

Hear me out. A baby monitor to supplement the sound. Baby monitors pick up on everything. 😭🤣

It would alert your dog if you have one. You could also use 3M glass shield stuff that makes breaking the window more difficult. But I feel like most burglars would leave after hearing the alarm in fear that you've woken. They don't know you couldn't hear it.

I guess it depends on what kind of home you have, or if you are renting. For me I have a two story townhouse that im renting and there is only two entryways. Front door and door wall on the 1st floor. I have these on both. If the bad guy is not started and/or turns off the sensors to proceed, he still has to come upstairs which makes a lot of noise in of itself, and then go through the locked bedroom doors upstairs, in which case I have two door stop alarms behind the doors (that are locked). if he is stupid enough to break down the door since he cant open it due to the door stop, by that time im already up with my g19 in hand and itll be a bad time for him

It’s useful to alert that a door was opened which applies to small businesses. I’ll be bringing one along for travel so that I can use it at the hotel door and/or window which will be bough to wake me up. For the price and functionality, it’s worth it for those applications.

Very true. Have to device a drop- plate so it blocks the unit from engaing again. I do plan to have one on bedroom door and one close to my pillow such that when I am awaken by the (A) door alarm, I will activate the one close to my pillow(B). I will then toss one part of (B) behind the bed, dresser etc. and a recording of a barking dog goes on (J/K). And hopefully (!) by then, the alarm will become too much for the thief. I feel that it's still somewhat better than nothing. :)

Absolutely. You just gotta find a good spot to mount them.

Set it up such that once it's openned, the alarm will drop ..separately..so it continues to sound even when the door closes.
