I live halfway around the world. I saw a Powerprobe 4 advertising on KZbin and decided to buy it. Never regret a thing, was worth every penny. Awesome tool to have around.

The first two checks are redundant, just check the other windows to see if you have power to the master switch, and lock-out!

testing a switch continuity is worthless. I have been burnt by that a few times

Because it has to be loaded. This will put some load on it.

good diagnostics unfortunately this only applies to rare,new,expensive cars- here's why- real world people want cheap repairs.most switch failures occur on older cars where a master switch is only a few bucks on eBay and u eliminate that part from the system that if left used can possibly come back in a week also u can up sell part and make money on that.real world it takes time to get diagram,test an old car where people rarely want to pay a reasonable quote,just throw a cheap new part at it and if it doesn't fix it then quote high to chase customer away and u can concentrate on profitable repairs.anybody in this business that has being around knows that we have no time to take care of cheap customers and making good money is top priority.
