window tint on semi truck

hi, thankyou for this video . i have one concern if you can please clarify . when you are cutting the tint are we cutting a bit extra on sides and bottom or no ?

Yes I cut extra on sides and bottom. Depending on the gasket or if the window shitf but usually like 1/4 to 1/2 inch

Hi, if I run interstate, would it be okay to have my side doors windows tint to be at 35% tint, if i roll windows down at the scale?

Whats up Yes You should be fine with 35% it's still on the lighter side. Most semi trucks I've done in 35% they never came back or called me saying they got a ticket. And yes just roll them before you get to the scale just in case. Every state is different

@@bobocaterpillar3697 unfortunately all semi trucks can not have window tint darker then 70%. That is a Fmcsa rule, but when you go to the chicken coop, you roll down your windows..or at least thats what I do, got 15% on both of my KW's.

You can do 70% ceramic tint including windshield and no one will notice. Plus you block 99% UV.

I used ceramic for better heat rejection. The brand is ztoa ceramic from solarfree.

I've done alot of semi trucks in the lightest shade of 50% and I never had anyone come back with issues. As far as Texas I'm not sure to be honest. Mention it to any tint shop closer to you about dot and they should be able to help you better Also Look into 50% or even 70% but in ceramic tint. Ceramic is the higher grade tint with the better heat rejection

Yes I did struggle trying to tuck the tint but the gasket was tight and made it harder. I explain to the costumer beforehand that I would get as close as I could with little light gap

Not really pushing it. 35 is on the lighter side you should be fine. All the semis I've done in 35% people have never come back with a ticket.

Lol Not legal actually. When they go through scales sometimes they get ask to remove the 2 fronts. But 35 is on the clear side and drivers sometimes don't get ask to remove
