HI PRIYANSHU Pipe lining means conversion of window coordinates to view-port coordinates Window : Area selected in world-coordinate for a display called window. It defines what to be viewed. View-port : Area on a display device in which window image is displayed (mapped) is called view port. It defines where to display. Hope your doubt has been clarified.

hi aishwarya yes we can have any point for (xw,yw) but this point should be with in the specified window boundaries because here we are finding the corresponding location of the point in view port so if the point doesn't lies inside the window boundary we cant calculate the point in view-port. so this transformation is to calculate the location of the window point in view-port. hope your doubt has been clarified.
