00:01 When I was a child, whenever it rained my mum would wake my brother, sister and me up (my dad worked night),turn off all the lights and turn the sofa to face the windows. We would all sit there with hot chocolate and listen to the storm while waiting to see the lightning, we lived on a hill and could see for miles. We all grew up to absolutely love thunderstorms and do similar things with our children. I found out recently that my mum hated them and was terrified but by waking us up and pretending she loved them she found she could cope.

This has really helped me to be rested and feel like I am back home on the mountain in Oregon. I miss feeling safe. City is so dangerous and people are so much into themselves. I sleep with 2 separate videos of rain and thunder at night, and then run a series of shows on my TV to block out the main street below. I sleep soundly (also, with a rosary wrapped about my wrist). A Hail Mary is just as good as these, if not more.
