Thank you for this detailed video! However, I followed this step by step but after completing the Add Recovery Agent process, the agent did not show up under Recovery Certificates. I did it twice and still nothing. Any advice?

I need to try this to recover some photos on an old windows 7 HD. I'm trying to opened the files via a usb HD reader and I see a message stating the files can only be access by admin. I know the old password but it doesn't even give me that option to open the files. I hope this works.

I have some files that I encrypted but my machine crashed and I had to reformat... Now I don't have the original certificate. Is there a way to by pass it and have the access to the files?
