After watching this, I ordered one and I love it. Using it for a Linux Box, an inexpensive way to do some Distro Hopping without consequence for my standard systems. You're mistaken on not being able to expand storage, you overlooked the M.2 2242 drive right next to the primary NVME. I ordered a 2TB, installed it as secondary storage and everything is great. The second one, I use for a few things: - As a Parsec node, so I can remote into my home network while traveling in order to access and administer my Unraid/Plex server and its Pi-KVM. - A hub to access and use any Windows-only system administration tools (since I daily drive Ubuntu). - A retro emulation station

159usd for 5+256gb for eu version with paid duties and shipping is a pretty good deal for a simple modern and energy efficient mini pc. Upgradeable ran, ssd and wifi is awesome. I wonder if it can play actual 4k netflix on a 4k tv. Either way great home pc for simple tasks to hide behind the monitor/tv

Agreed. There seem to have been some crazy good early deals. I think these Windows MiniPCs are now a trend, just like Android TV boxes used to be a few years ago

@@TechMishka I was there when the first mini pic craze was upon us and it did not end well. That was around 2008 and even in the normal sized computers, the Celerons were a disaster, when talking about the mini pcs, the Atom processor, was just a joke. Many of the mini pcs were just landfill. I hope this generation is better, even the context is different as the Raspberry Pi is way more expensive and not that capable and this could be a replacement for some projects. Using this as a full time general purpose computer I think is stretching it. With taxes and all, the barebone is $130 for EU, the 16 / 512 is $210 and I just don't see the value in it. The windows license for N100 is basically free from MS, there is no actual cost for the OEM. All Atom styled processors have this feature as MS wants to encourage the usage of Windows on cheap computers. Just check the one with a good processor, the license will have the usual cost.

I heard the fan ramps up really easy. I saw you showing in bios, the automatic fan, you know a better setting for the fans to be less annoying?

Not really. These are kind of small and therefore have higher RPM and May sometimes be annoying.

7:25: it's not close to the performance of a gigabit adapter. That would have been 120 MB/s and not 47MB/s. 47MB/s is just typical of Wifi5.

Can anyone tell me why Windows 11 shows the processor speed as 800 Mhz.? And how does this box reach 3.4 Ghz? Is this an addition off 4 cores working at 800Mhz each? How is the 3.4GHz processor spec reached? (btw, I have one and it offers snappy visual performance though Windows Update seems to run much slower than an older Intel core 5 machine running Windows 10, using the wired Ethernet port through same ISP)

Does anyone have Bluetooth gamepad Problems in batocera 38, when WiFi is turned on? After connecting my gmktec with WiFi, my Bluetooth gamepad has latency Problems. (Tried for 3 different gamepads, and for all the Same Problem) I have Input delays and Sometimes the Buttons dont Work at all. My gmktec is connected in the 2,4 and 5 GHz frequency wifi. I switched to 5 ghz-only, but unfortunatelly nothing changed at all. Any ideas? Thanks!

I also have Apple TV 4K 128gb and i like it for streaming services, and i bought this G3 to make a Homelab NAS, which Apple doesn't do. Plus i heard, not tested, that i can get TrueHD 7.1 with KODI through my receiver on this G3 and i can't with Apple aswell.
