So, Apple has changed everything with Apple Silicon's Fort Chip M1, but now every company is signing up to compete with Apple. Windows is preparing Windows 12, Qualcomm made the new Snapdragon Elite to power future PCs and laptops. Also, AMD, Nvidia, and even Intel will try to bring the same, as it means the PC is also waiting for its M1 Chip Revolution. But whether they will succeed or not is yet to be seen.

It's good to see the competition but it would be very difficult to port most of the software from the X86 platform to any other. There are billions of softwares that needs to be port. It will cost more to write the software again in other platforms for the software companies.

2021 I switched to MacBook air m1 from my i7 windows laptop because of one reason that is windows update. I hate windows updates that much i decided to switch to mac yes as 1st time user i face some difficulties but now things changed and love my MacBook m1 hope after few years i will switch to pro model.

let me tell you something straight how hardware and softeaware was combo for apple,apple is inspired by unix and its still in same way for thier os,they focus on thier hardware and they brought up formance thanks to that since arm chips are effcient ,and it was not used for hevy tasks for example 4k gaming(u cant do that on m2 or arm),it needs gpu and they are not focused for gamerrs or devlopers ,if youre devloper then lunix is best choice if a gamer its windows if your content editer then its mac

The problem with Microsoft is its old users in companies. They dont like major changes in the software. Thats why some parts of windows still have old design for example the control panel. So they cant completely overhaul the whole architecture are make is more efficient. There are codes and programs of other companies that are dependent on older software design to run smoothly. If they do changes then many companies will be affected.

When windows will actually shift to arm…all the existing developers(including game developers )will also try to make their apps compatible with the native arm version rather than some translation layer. But Microsoft Nvidia are killing it in corporate area which is the future that is Ai and cloud. Apple is only going for consumers. In future on device performance won't matter that much because connectivity will be very strong like 6g 7g 8g etc. So evey task can b done in the cloud even editing and recording High quality videos in the cloud. Future is Ai and cloud native where Nvidia grasshopper has made very significant jump and no other competition is even close to them.
