So, to clarify at the end. By making an alternate configuration with the same DHCP-assigned address from a corporate DHCP server used at work, you would still have access to the DHCP Server you used at work when you go home?

You probably wouldn't be able to access the Corporate DHCP server from home since it is likely a private network. You also probably don't have a DHCP server running in your house. You would want to set the General tab to use DHCP and The Alternate Configuration tab to a Static IP on your home network. Windows should automatically switch configurations when it connects to each network. I know this is late but I hope it helps :)

Just out of curiosity, I’m doing a practice test that makes mention of private class A, B, and C IP ranges but this video does not make mention of them. Is there a reason why ?

that's in 1101 this is 1102

@@TheRealSlimShady509 No, it is. This is basic networking. Class A IP addresses have 0-127 as the first octet. Class B IP addresses have 128-191 and Class C have 192-223. Hopefully that answers your question.

@@TheRealSlimShady509 I took the test for 1101, it was definitely in there. Some other 1101 practice exams I took also had class A, B, and C included
