That was quite interesting.Several years ago, I actually swapped my start up and shut down files for my old comp Win 2000 with the Borg Voice "You have entered grid...." for start up, and shut down "Shut down sequence initiated!". A females voice. Both were on a free cd I got from somewhere. Hahahaha after I installed the new sounds, I'd left the speakers quite high. I forgot to tell my partner about them, so she got the fright of her life when she turned the computer on ;-)

NT 5.0's Shutdown isn't the actual one, that being NT 4.0's. Whistler did use 2000 sounds, just not exactly this one, as it is the Beta 3 builds 1983.1-2000.3. Vista's (Beta) Startup and shutdown sounds ain't correct as they are fake, and come from multiple sources.
