comfortably seated? lol. you sit way too close to your stearing wheel.

If the steeringwheel is that close to your torso, then you will have a disadvantage turning the wheel. The best position is when your arms is almost strectched out. If you test the difference, you'll experience a faster response-time with your arms streched. Every pro-racer in the world agrees :)

i find it hard to play third person view with the wheel and hard to play first person with the controller

Same here. I was struggling with third-person but I chalked it up to talking for the video at the time. First-person is definitely best with a wheel.
