Someone in our group asked me about missing windmills once when we were on top of the mountain. Now this explains it..

Back around 2020, I noticed one had a shattered blade. I believe it was it was among the 4 or 5 furthest from the parking area (furthest north)

They do get damage from time to time. I have seen a few shattered blades up there

What’s up with the one that looks burnt that’s up there now

Not sure. I think it might be some kind of grease or oil lubricant around the attachement point. Maybe a bad seal of some sort
