It's good to see a female officer on the parade she must be one fit woman to lead these gurkha soldiers.

The Rifles Band and Bugles are growing on me. I'm glad i served in a unit that marched at the regular army pace, but I do like the light infantry paced music!

Good evening and thank you, Lenny, for sharing this beautiful video with the fantastic Gurkhas. Lovely their poppies on caps! A little question: why the officers hold the flap of their coat open? Thanks.

They're holding on to their sword scabbard which is only attached to a sling to their belt unlike other regiments that have it attached to the belt

She needs to lengthen her stride a bit. They were falling behind the band and the guard detail were having to take pigeon steps to avoid catching her up!

@100horney Hi, it's "Castell Coch" by T.J.Powell, and you're right it's predominantly a brass band march.

@@100horney Hello again, yes I played it many times in my long brass band "career" (mainly euphonium, sometimes baritone), as well as "Castell Caerffili" (another of the "Castle" series of marches) and "The Contestor" by the same composer. There have been other instances of the military bands playing brass band marches recently, in particular "Punchinello" played by the Band of the Coldstream Guards, and also "The Red Shield" (a Salvation Army march) being played by the Coldstream band.

@@AlbaAlba-fg2io Hello Alba, and good afternoon! Unfortunately I didn't go to Windsor on this occasion, because I was too busy and too tired and also I didn't trust the weather to stay dry. I'm always looking for opportunities though!
