Windsurfing Pacasmayo Peru

Had a great trip to Pacasmayo in Peru for the IWT event and for free-sailing. Scored some great conditions while I was there. The wind is usually very light but the waves can be great when a swell forecast is on. The local ancient civilisation of the area is the Mochica or Moche culture dated around 100 to 700AD. Paul van Bellen, thanks for the time and energy you put into these videos! The first videos I saw of yours were the Kickboxer, Soul Train, and Windrider videos, which I love because they are so fun and tongue-in-cheek. Then I started watching other videos like "Windsurfing and Swim" and then this one, which are just beautiful films, period. Planning a trip myself whenever we can travel again. Does the initial part of the movie also contain clips from Punta Luna, I seemed to recognize the landscape ? If so, do you reckon it’s worth the hassle and cost as opposed to only Pacasmayo ? Aloha from the Canary Islands.

@@olelie2 yeah Ole that’s Punta Luna at the start. If the swell is above 2m with a decent period then yes it could be worth the effort. There is a lodge there that charges $200 US each minimum stay 2-3 nights and minimum 3-4 people from memory. Otherwise you can 4WD in but you need to bring everything. If you go in yourself you need to organise a pass from the office of environment as it’s a nature reserve. The whole thing can be a hassle but you might score. Otherwise stay in Pacasmayo everything is at your finger tips.
