I really enjoy watching training days with good commentary about tactics and mistakes. I wanted to ask your a question about back foot strap. I'm 184cm and always struggle to put my back foot into strap as I loose balance the moment I lift it off the board. Do you have any tips how to avoid it?

Thanks! With regards to your question: 1. The fact that you are 184 means that you are definitely tall enough to reach the footstrap without any issues. 2. For the beginning put the back footstrap as close to the middle of the board as possible. 3. First step to fix it can be - instead of putting the foot in the strap just try to put it on top of it. Try it going both tacks for at least 5 times. That should help you intuitively understand where the back footstrap is. 4. Then try to put the toes of your foot next to the strap and slowly try to edge the foot into the strap.

I had this problem too my solution was to go up wind and then get in the back footstrap (my first time in the back footstrap was in 81 sm slalom wide board in 25 knot)

Hey Rytis, nice race. I prefer the 8.4 mt, 121L , 44cm setup, in my experience is faster down-the-line , but jibes are little bit tricky. In my opinion, you are too upwind at the start, even you have a perfect timing, the guys downwind are so much closer to the first mark. Starting more downwind it´s harder to calculate the right timing, but payoffs. I check few of your clips and you always are close to the boat.

Hey Juan, It is funny actualy coz I realised that all the races I posted I started at the boat - but actualy I think these are the only races this year where I started there. I was practicing middle and pin loads :) yet no footage of that- what a shame

Nice video! I think 140lt is a big ass board to race though...

It is quite big, but for light wind racing we need these machines!

What is that timer/clock called you are using. Is there THE ONE model for windsurf or just any regatta timer? Feels like everyone uses that one yellow model

Hi Phillip, I am using this one: www.wetsuitoutlet.es/2019-optimum-time-series-os3-sailing-watch-yellow-315-p-641.html?products_id=641&source=googleshopping&lang_ovd=es&ds_rl=1279491&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0vDT2Z-65wIVSdHeCh0afAv1EAQYAiABEgKVT_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
