I took my first trip to Windy Gap in 1980 and the following year I spent a month there serving on the Work Crew and once I became an Employee of Chicago's LaSalle Street Young Life I took several kids to Windy Gap. I've said this on several occasions there can't be a Summer Camp anywhere in the U.S better than Windy Gap.

I came to young life camp here when I was in high school in 2008/9 and this place is still as beautiful as I remember 😩

I went there 30yrs ago I remember getting off the bus and the Hatfield's and the McCoy's at each other all week that changed my life we didn't have a phone or television and it didn't matter...

This is far, far, far away (230 miles) from that crazy Hatfields and McCoys chaos. I think you're right on about not really caring about the TV or phone for the week as the experience at camp is really special.
