Thanks so much for posting these Windy! I think I saw Harold Price fly at a big meet held in Frederick MD around 1961 or 2. I was flying 049s back then and my biggest plane was a Junior Ringmaster with a Cox Olympic 15 that just loved to bite my fingers trying to start it. And then I got a Nobler for Christmas....

George Gaydos won Scale at the Nats twice with that Yippee - 1985 and 1992, both in Chicopee. That P-38 was a work of art. I still remember all the rivets on the wings of that plane.

I REMEMBER THE CANNON IN THE NOSE THAT SHOT WITH A FIRECRACKER. HE DEMOED IT AT A GSCB MEETING,SUPER COOL BUT THEY NEVER LET HIM USE IT IN COMPETITION THERE WAS SOME RULE ABOUT NO PYROTECHNICS.
