My apologies, this is going to be a long piece of feedback. Firstly, as a bit of a pedantic comment, the Wine-Searcher link goes to the Haute Cote de Beaune wine, not the Nuits-Saint-Georges. Second, I really enjoy your videos David. I like the lack of fluff, and straightforwardness of the format. Straight to history/information and tasting. I really enjoy how you discuss the history of the domaine, and also the production techniques that were used in making the wine. The only thing I'd like to see added to this is a bit of information on what the region is classically known to taste like. "Wines of Nuits-Saint-George are classically known for xyz etc..." Thirdly, as I think you do a great job, I'd like to see this channel grow. A lot of people use wine-searcher, I've been a customer for a decade, but only recently have I become aware of this channel. There really should be a little frame on the wine-searcher website that shows a thumbnail of the latest video. That way more people will discover the channel from the website, which will cause it to rank higher in the KZbin algorithm helping people to discover it, and thus feed new users back to the website. Fourthly, and this would obviously take a lot more time, I think you could gain more views and traffic to the website by doing more thematic videos. I think many viewers are looking for help to find wines they like and want to buy, while also learning a bit more about the producers and appellations they are buying from. I think focusing on tasting through multiple wines from specific regions would be nice. For example, you could do a Burgundy series focused on visiting the village level wines of the Côte de Nuits, touching on each major appellation, what is notable about it, and tasting 3-4 wines therefrom. One video is Gevrey, one is Vosne Romanee etc... and in each you'd discuss the classical profile of each appellation, and taste 2-4 wines from more widely available producers, that are either prime examples of the appellations characteristics or perhaps cover different examples of what people can expect to find from that place. That's just one idea, but of course there are many other themes that could be explored. I think it’s about providing free knowledge, education and guiding people to good or interesting wines (that they can find on wine-searcher of course) , which you are already doing a great bottle by bottle job on, and could expand that in a way that casts a wider net and generates more interest. I wouldalso mention at the beginning that "you can find this wine for purchase on wine searcher via the link in the description". Best of luck, and thanks for the videos.

Plenty of great feedback, thanks. Firstly thanks for the heads up re the link - annoyingly I thought I corrected that last night, must have not pressed save! It is fixed now. I think I do need to remember to get back to basics with these videos, for example I may have mentioned it, but didn't really explain that the two red burgundies are both Pinot Noirs. spo yes reference as to how they relate to the region or variety is something to try and do. This channel has been operating in this form, posting a daily tasting, for 18 months now. We do have the videos showing in the profile page, but are now looking to make it more prominent on the website - there are plans afoot, I just need the IT guys to do their bit. For the thematic stuff I may be most of the way there - have you looked at the playlists? We have about 80 of these now looking at countries, regions, producers, varieties, vintages - they could all do with introductory videos to pull them together, but I'm pretty proud of those. Thanks for taking the time to comment, it isall good feedback and much appreciated!

@@winesearcher I didn’t know about the playlists, I will have a look. Maybe pinning those to the main channel page would help people find them. Also mentioning the playlists would also be a good thing to add to your closing comments when you ask for peoples support. "Do check in the description for a link to our playlists which cover a wealth of information. We appreciate your support etc..." If you don’t mind me saying more. For example the recent burgundy videos, it would be helpful if you let the audience know it’s part of a series (theme). Could easily be done by saying something like “we continue our video series on the wines from David with a look at their xyz wine. If you’d like to follow this series there is a playlist link in the description.” Then just crack on as normal. Doing that would help viewers to know there is more content related to what they are watching, and if they click and watch than that’s more algorithm improving actions. Continuing, I don’t think you need as much of a summary as you have in the description. Just two summary sentences that help it come up in searches. I’d keep it short, and include playlist links to related to other videos, and of course the website. In example the recent David Nuits SG video, the first two sentences are all you need. Then links to the series playlist, other relevant playlists on similar topics, and where to buy it on wine-searcher. Lastly, on the playlists, I think it's be helpful if they had a naming convention that made them easier to see. I.e. "France - Bordeaux - Tasting Pauillac" or "California - Ridge Vineyards - Tastings". Just my two cents on that. You could also include a discount code giving people a free 1 week trial, or however long, to the wine-searcher pro subscription. Please don't take any of this as criticism, just trying to help. All the best.

You're welcome. I love wine-searcher, and also the videos David makes. I first subbed to wine search pro back in March 2009, so clearly I like the service and happy if my feedback helps.@@winesearcher

I have to say I'm gobsmacked that I've only just found this channel, considering I've been using Wine Searcher for over a decade, and have been surfing KZbin wine channels for the last 2 years in preparation for Wset exams. Quite a different style from the others, but very informative on a wine by wine basis, which I guess is the point.
