Great review, and looking forward to your Tokaji tasting! I'm also a big fan of Lopez de Heredia, wonder what you think of their whites.

Nice to see a wine from monção e melgaço on the list. Since moving to Portugal, I’ve had some fantastic examples from that subregion and I think I cracked €10 only once! Aside from Port, Portugal flys under the radar and the Minho really seems to fly under the radar outside of Portugal

Thank you for the video. It was very entertaining. It is veyr nice to know that a lot of the wines on the list are readily available for purchase. I hope to hear more about the 2022 Burgundy wines from you.

They are delicious, I am buying a lot of 22' Burgundy

I love how you mentioned the cheaper options at some of the producers are bottle to look for. I've been a fan of the entry level Castellare Chianti Classico for 20 years, and the cheaper Riojas from R. López de Heredia Viña Tondonia are always killer, delicious wines. Love the channel, keep it up man.

Hi Matthew. I definitely recommend: 62. Txomin Etxaniz Txakoli 2023 and 81. Soalheiro Alvarinho 2023. Both are nice wines.

Underrated?! Just look at the critics scores and prices the Essencias and even Aszu proud themselves with these days.

Great video. When i start i love the classic style of Rioja, this days i prefer other type of style but it's always good taste a good classic Rioja. Muga was my first visit to a bodega... always remember a lunch in the Terete, lamb and muga never fail. We buy a bottle of Prado Enea 1998 in the bodega, our first big wine, and we visit a micro bodega in a cave inside the city who make one of the best carbonic maceration wine i ever taste sadly i think they close in 2008.

The Rioja 2011 Gran Reserva was in our local store’s tasting, and my partner absolutely loved it! I preferred the lighter Raul Perez Mencia wines, but I will be picking up more of that Rioja as a holiday treat! ❤🎉 Cheers! (And no Riesling on here? 😮😂)

Raul Perez’s stuff is killer!

i was able to buy 22 wines out of the top 100 and many i have tried in the past are different vintages ...but the bargain of the year is the number 9 wine ...the albe 2020 barolo. this wine has it all and for 40 dollars i was flabberghasted. most barolos that are decent are 75 dollars north. im sure this wine will age incredibly. i rarely get too excited over a young wine but this delivers

It is a fantastic wine and has shown up on the channel before

Hi Mathew, when do you think we will see some Prokupac in a top 100 list? And will you ever make a top 100 list?

The Drouhin Sain-Véran has been my housewine for many years. Unfortunately the price increased by 50% over the last 4 years. I have found better and cheaper alternatives like Grillobianco from Collina Serragrilli. You should check out their Barolo and Barbarseco. Also their Langhe Nebbiolo is one of the best value for money ready to drink Italian reds. The Soalheiro is also fantastic, but also in the higher price segment for Vinho Verde. Muralhas de Moncao is one of the best value for money Vinho Verdes

Great video. Love a lot of the wines and producers you picked out from list. You know I’m a big fan of white burgundy and that Joseph Drouhin maconnais wine you picked out is a great white burgundy value. It’s a wine that captures what maconnais should be. It’s nothing incredible, but it’s really good for the $ and typical of what maconnais should be.

You got that right!

Ha 😂, of all those wines, the only one I’ve had is the Racines. Normally not a big California Pinot guy. Palate is usually just a little too ripe for me. Though as I seem to remember, this was a little more burgundy like. As is Domaine de la Cote Blooms Field. As always remember: Enjoy the sunshine held together by water.🍷
