Wine Tasting at the WILLCOX WINE FESTIVAL in Southern Arizona's Wine Country!

Join us for a fun daytrip down to Arizona's Wine Country for the Semi-Annual Willcox Wine Festival in Willcox, AZ!

In this episode, we made our way an hour or so from Tucson, AZ to visit Arizona's very own Wine Country. Yes, Arizona has a wine country, believe it or not! Located just above 4,000 feet, the Willcox AVA produces about 3/4 of Arizona's grapes. The region's climate/conditions is comparable to those of California or Italy - making for some excellent wine.
The Willcox Wine Festival is a semi-annual event hosted in the Fall and Spring in Willcox, Arizona - a town steeped in agricultural excellence history. Many vineyards from around the Sulphur Springs valley make their way to town to showcase their finest wines - Pillsbury, Seventeen Sixty-Four, Caduceus/Merkin, Keeling Schaefer Vineyards, & Coronado Vineyards - to name a few.
In addition to excellent wine, there are plenty of other vendors selling creatives (like the "Wine Bar" sign we purchased from Connie Little Designs) and food - plus live music!
All in all, it's an excellent way to spend an afternoon taste-testing fantastic wines in the quaint and historic Willcox, AZ. Follow it up with a texas bbq dinner for the perfect day!

Darn, just missed it this year. I looked up dates so I can go next year. Looked like a nice date sort of day. Get my hubby to take me next year. Did you mention that they had food trucks? I was thinking charcuterie boards would be a nice addition. Wonder if they are sold anything like that.

Sorry for the late reply! It really was a perfect little daytrip, and such a nice day in general. Charcuterie boards would be awesome! Would make for a great food truck idea too! There was 1 food truck but can't quite recall what they were selling, sorry (we were saving appetite for dinner lol)
