It was great seeing you guys at the bootcamp, it felt quite different seeing you guys live doing your podcast after watching your youtube podcasts at work this past year. Really appreciated seeing all the leather samples and the base of knowledge that came with it. Love listening to your podcasts while I work in my shop.

Great concept and presentation for people to experience and appreciate all the subtleties with quality leathers.

So glad you got some value from this. Doing a live episode was a highlight of my 2024 - Phil

Super thoughtful presentation. Really cool that you both took the time and care to create something different for the live experience, but also made it translate well to the usual audio/video formats. Also great to see how excited you get for questions in real time, have a couple more straightforward questions: What does oil tanned leather mean in the modern context? I’ve read how historically Chamois leather was made by soaking hides in oil and allowing the oil to oxidized to complete the tanning process, but I’ve seen oil tanning described more as a finishing process. Does Horween have any oil tanned products? How can you tell the difference between pull up created by hot stuffing vs. pull up created by a waxy burst effect?

2025 - 120th anniversary for Horween, 14th for Ashland, congrats to you both. Any milestone plans? Looking back (for both) what’s some of the best advice/(non-proprietary) info you’ve received from past generations of Horweens? Looking forward, what are some of the most important things you would pass on (non-proprietary) if the next generations enter your respective businesses?
