unfortunately even if is called fluid is not so fluid animation wise. many many times the splash screen thread somehow is getting chopped when the main app thread is doing the heavy loading in the background and i am talking about 13core cpus and 16gb ram and ssd. so I don't know if the splash screen is already but i think they Must move to DirectX rendering pipeline like you did with other control to become really fluid and independent. 🙄

Lucky for us it isn’t called “fluid” then... isn’t it? And you do realize this is a WinForms control right? There is and will never be any DirectX about it... I’ve never used it, but it looks like WPF already has a splash screen control... perhaps that might meet your “fluid” requirements.
