Hi you miss understood what i was saying. I didn't say MMA was not effective .I was sayings if three people attack you at once in real life situation someone is on the ground would it work any styles that was the Question!

Wing Chun isn't even proven to be effective against one competent resisting opponent let alone 3, so you saying that BJJ can't deal with 3 opponents (which is true) doesn't prove that Wing Chun can. MMA means MIXED MARTIAL ARTS. MMA isn't specifically ground fighting by itself, the days of the Gracie family taking everyone down and submitting them ended 15 years ago. That's how much MMA is evolving every 10 to 15 years.

One shouldn't put down any style even if they lose in competition real life situations isn't a sport.

But some style are far more effective than others. There are real life fighting tournaments with zero rules.

Let me also add that Wing Chun doesn't have to deal with ground fighting. It only has to be an effective striking art like boxing, and for it to be effective a Wing Chun fighter should have the ability to deal with a bare knuckle boxer....... Also if poking the eyes, striking the throat its all thats needed to defeat anyone do you think a high level fighter or a bigger opponent would struggle to do these things or only execute these "techniques" with more power and strength than the average person because a groin kick from a Muay Thai fighter which is common in MT fights would be devastating in a real fight with the amount of power they generate. If these techniques are so effective why dont you even teach them, this is the first time im hearing you talk about "anything goes techniques" or even teaching them.

wing chun has been proven time and time again to ineffective at dealing with trained opponets from other martial arts. it also has not evolved for like 400 years.

@@PassportG Your 100% correct. I'm just giving suggestions on how it would need to develop to improve.

The "its effective under no rules" excuse is no longer valid because almost everyone knows that Wing Chun isnt effective for the streets let alone the ring, cage etc. In Brazil since the 60's they've had bare Knuckle MMA tournaments called Vale Tudo which have no rules, you can literally groin strike and eye poke. Wing Chun practitioners would get destroyed in these tournaments. Secondly you cant claim to train for the street when you dont even spar full contact or even spar to implement throat, groin strikes etc. We live in an era where you have to prove that your style works and Wing Chun has never proved this against other arts. Even when they fight boxers, mauy thai fighters, BJJ or MMA fighters under "no rules" they always lose. They also seem to think that Mauy Thai fighters, boxers or MMA fighters can't eye-poke or grain strike in real fights when these techniques literally require zero skill.

MMA is the most effective martial art and it imitates real fighting much more convincingly than Wing Chun. Saying you'll beat someone bug by simply eyepoking or grabbing someone's throats just shows how much you dont know about real life fighting.
