Kung fu was invented by the Chinese, but it has been further developed abroad, the attitude towards learning kung fu in Chinese people is quite different from people in other countries. The Chinese do not question their teacher and the excess of Confucianism somehow affects the evolution of Wing Chun. excellent video, thanks

Martial Arts originated in and migrated from India to China. The words Kung Fu aren't specific to martial arts, it can be any skill you master. The name kung fu is just that, a name placed on an art that migrated from India to China and was further refined. No more, no less.

Wow, what Sifu Leung said about the Chinese people having a weakness when learning gung fu, which is their reluctance to question the teacher and what is being taught. Sounds just like his buddy Bruce. And that “disrespectful” approach was probably the fundamental issue the Chinese and traditional martial arts community in general had with Bruce, who thought it disrespectful NOT to question things if it hindered a system and its practitioners from evolving and improving what a martial art is meant to do: enable you to defend yourself to the best of your ability.

@@UltimateMartialArtsAcademy Oh, okay, thanks! He should do a longer one. He's got so much wisdom and knowledge. I'd be particularly interested in hearing more about what he's learned after so many years of teaching. Thanks again for posting this!
